✝️ Introduction
The Rosary is a traditional Catholic devotion that has been prayed for centuries, centered on reflecting on the life of Jesus Christ. As the prayers are recited, the mind is drawn to key events in Christ’s life, allowing the faithful to meditate deeply on the mysteries of salvation. 📖 The Mysteries of the Rosary
The Rosary is divided into four sets of Mysteries, each focusing on different moments in the life of Jesus and His Mother. These are traditionally prayed on specific days:
- Sundays & Wednesdays – Glorious Mysteries
- Mondays & Saturdays – Joyful Mysteries
- Tuesdays & Fridays – Sorrowful Mysteries
- Thursdays – Luminous Mysteries
Each Mystery is rooted in Sacred Scripture and invites meditation on the saving work of Christ.
🔵 Structure of the Rosary
The Rosary consists of five decades, each made up of ten beads. These decades form a circular chain, with each set separated by a larger bead used for the Lord’s Prayer. The beads outside the circle are used for the opening and concluding prayers.
1️⃣ Beginning the Rosary
Holding the crucifix, make the Sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Then recite the Apostles’ Creed:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth… (continue as usual)
2️⃣ Opening Prayers
Pray:
- One Our Father
- Three Hail Marys (for an increase in faith, hope, and charity)
- One Glory Be
- The Fatima Prayer
3️⃣ The Five Decades
Each decade follows the same pattern:
- Announce the Mystery and reflect on it
- Pray one Our Father
- Pray ten Hail Marys (one on each bead)
- Conclude with the Glory Be
- Add the Fatima Prayer
Repeat this sequence for all five decades, moving around the Rosary.

After completing the five decades, conclude with:
